A night to remember
Sunday night Karimjee grounds were ablaze with the sounds of Youssou N’Dour, Angelique Kidjo and the crowd that wouldn’t stay on their seats.
From 8pm to a little bit over 10, the duo performed their hit songs and almost broke the stage with dance moves. Kidjo was something like the nemesis and every song she performed drove crowd into a frenzy.
She touched many with her own version of ‘Malaika’ which they couldn’t resist but sing along.
N’Dour stole the night with his high-pitched tone, especially when he performed his tribute song to Africa. Emmanuel Jah from Sudan was also the favorite with his poetry mixed with hip hop vibes and revolutionary lyrics.
