Tanzania’s supermodel Flaviana Matata is in the UK where she has just taken part in London Fashion Week.
She also visited BBC Africa’s studios and gave our Focus on Africa presenter Kassim Kayira the latest tips on what is fashionable these days.
The former winner of Tanzania’s first Miss Universe pageant, in 2007, started by telling Kassim how she got into fashion.
She spoke to the BBC a few hours before returning to New York where she is based when not working in Europe, Africa or other parts of the world. Here she was being interviewed for BBC Africa’s news and current affairs TV programme in Kiswahili, Dira ya Dunia.She was also interviewed for BBC’s Focus on Africa radio programme.
