Catch The Beat Opening Night

Runway was alive with the rhythms and sounds of mzungu kichaa and his live band last Thursday night, as they played songs off of his album, Toka Pamoja.

The night was opened by Mombasa’s rising star, Jojo, as she sang and played songs like Alicia’s Keys No One, and Natlie imbruglia. Audiences were stunned at the smooth sound and harmonization formed through the acoustic guitar and her voice, and was rewarded with cheers and hoots from fans.

Mzungu Kichaa took over with his live band and continued to rile the audiences up as he sang hit songs from his album like, “Oya Oya,” and “Sista Kichaa.”

Catch the Beat will continue every Thursday night, with different Artists playing and Mzungu Kichaa as the host.  The opening night proved to be a success and even NBA’s rising star Hasheem Thabeet graced the event for a short while. Be sure to join in next week in the fun and music.

After closing the event, the night went on as the DJ played hit songs ranging from 90’s music to reggae hits, and even some dance hall beats.
