Enke was depressed- wife

The wife of the late Germany and Hannover 09 Goalkeeper, Robert Enke who died earlier this week after jumping against an express train, has said that her husband was suffering from fear of failure and depression following an attempt of taking away their 8-month old adopted baby, Leila.

Enke had been sick for a while and feared that he might lose Leila if his illness became public knowledge. Teresa Enke said that she had tried to be there for him but to no avail

Enke’s death has come as a blow to Germany soccer considering the team is still in the preparations for next year’s World cup in South Africa
