Maria Sharapova two year suspension reduced to 15 months

Last year, Russian Tennis star, Maria Sharapova pleaded for her two year suspension from the International Tennis Federation to be reduced. She had been suspended for using meldonium prescribed by the doctor which made her fail her doping test at the Australian Open 12 months ago.

The court has accept after investigating that it was not intentional.

“I could not be happier to have my first match back on tour at one of my favorite tournaments,” she said. “I can’t wait to see all my great fans and to be back doing what I love.”
