Photos: Andrew Macharia directs Yunasi’s (Kenyan Band) video for their new single ‘Don’t Go’

Internationally acclaimed Kenyan band Yunasi recently hired the services of Andrew Macharia to produce a video for their next single, Don’t Go. The song which was recorded by Rkay, is the lead
single off their 4th studio album ‘SSS’ (Sesube Sound System) that is set for release by end of this year. See behind the scenes photos here.

Yunasi is a multi award winning band, originating from and based in Nairobi Kenya. The band shot to fame in 2004 after deeveloping a unique East African music style called Sesube which is a combination of Sega, Isikuti and Benga.

Working with the legendary Ted Josiah, they made one of the claassic albums that has won several local and international awards including the BBc Next Big Thing Competition in 2007. Currently, Yunasi is working on their 4th Album slated for a December release with production features from Musyoka, RKay, Ogopa Deejays, Pro Voke and Ngalah.* *
