Photos: Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade arrives in Dar es Salaam
Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade, who has won a huge following in Tanzania, is finally in the country following an invitation by fellow actress and former beauty queen Wema Sepetu.
Omotola arrived at Julius Nyerere International Airport at 3am Sunday morning and to receive her was the former Miss Tanzania, her host Wema Sepetu in company of other former beauties Miriam Odemba and Mange Kimambi. Omotola was scheduled to attend Wema’s movie launch which took place earlier that night however this could not happen due to flight delays.
Earlier on the day, speaking to the press Wema said she had extended an invitation to three of Nollywood’s leading actresses, Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade and Rita Dominic, but it was Omotola who accepted her invitation.
“The other two had other contractual commitments to fulfill, Genevieve is working on a project with Vivica Fox and likewise Rita is in the final steps of her upcoming movie so they could not honour the invitation” said Wema.
Rumor has it that Wema Sepetu together with her guest the Nollywood star Omotola Jalade are expected to meet with the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, his excellence Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete tomorrow at the state house in Dar es Salaam.
