Sauti za Busara reveals 2013 line up

Things are gearing up well for the 10th edition of the Sauti Za Busara Festival 2013, which will take place on the 14th to 17th February 2013 at Old Fort Stone Town in Zanzibar. According to the statement from the organizers already the line up for solo, bands and duo artists is being finalized.

In a newsletter that was sent to www.bongo5.com organizers have revealed some of the confirmed artists includes Cheikh Lo (Senegal), Nathalie Natiembe( Re Union Island), Mokoomba(Zimbabwe), Atongo Zimba( Ghana/ Uk), Owiny Zogomba( Kenya/Uk), Sousou & Maher Cissoko ( Senegal/Sweden), Burkina Electric (Burkina Faso/USA), Nawal & les femmes de La Lune( Comoros/ France). From Tanzania headliners are Lumumba Theatre Group, Culture Music Club and Mlimani Park Orchestra. organizers have also said other artists will be confirmed at a later date.

The coming edition of Sauti Za Busara is the 10 year anniversary, which will mark a decade of celebration of the richness and variety of African music in the Archipelago Island.
