Vodacom South Africa yaamriwa imlipe mfanyakazi aliyebuni huduma ya ‘Tafadhali Nipigie’

Mahakama nchini Afrika Kusini jana iliiagiza kampuni ya Vodacom kumlipa fidia mfanyakazi wa zamani wa kampuni hiyo aliyebuni mfumo wa messaga za bure, baada ya kesi hiyo kudumu kwa miaka minane.

Hukumu hiyo imeipa kampuni hiyo kubwa nchini Afrika Kusini siku 30 za kuanza majadiliano ya jinsi ya kujua kiasi gani cha kumlipa Nkosana Makate.

Makate aliwasiliana na Philip Geissler, aliyekuwa mkurugenzi wa zamani wa maendeleo ya bidhaa na utawala wa kampuni hiyo kuhusu wazo lake la huduma ya “Please Call Me.”

Geissler alikubali kwa mdomo kuijaribu huduma hiyo, zinasema nyaraka za mahakama. Makate aliambiwa na kampuni hiyo kwamba atalipwa share yake kutoka kwenye mapato yatakayotokana na huduma hiyo lakini haikufanyika hivyo.

Baada ya kushindwa kulipwa fidia yake miaka minne baada ya huduma hiyo kuanzishwa, Makate alifungua kesi mahakamani ambayo sasa ameshinda.

“It’s just a relief for me you know, eight years in trial. I’m just happy we are now at the end of this journey,” Makate alisema kwenye mahojiano na kituo cha runinga cha serikali, SABC.

“I never really lost faith that I’ll win this case, I think that really kept me going even in times when I lost hope or felt a bit despondent,” aliongeza.
