VOTE AND SAVE TANZANIANS IN VODACOM TUSKER PROJECT FAME

TANZANIA 'S Tina Korosso and Nakaaya Sumari have been put under probation alongside two other contenstants as the Vodacom Tusker Project Fame reality television show enters its fourth week.

The judges have selected Nakaaya Sumari, Tina Korosso, Paul Lwanga( Uganda ) and Linda Muthama ( Kenya ) for possible elimination from the academy.

Speaking in Dar es Salaam yesterday, the Vodacom Tanzania Marketing Manager, Ephraim Mafuru urged Tanzanians to vote for the contestants so they may remain in the Project Fame Academy .

“Our votes are very much needed, they can make all the difference for our stars. What people are required to do is to write an SMS ‘'NAKAAYA IN'' & ‘'TINA IN'', then send it to 15155,” said Mafuru.

Paul and Nakaaya were also on probation last week, and as the academy enters its fourth week, their chances of being eliminated from the house increase.

Tina, who was awarded immunity last week by the teachers has been on probation since the first week.

Tina, arguably the most improved contestant in the academy, feels that being on probation does not mean that you are out, but rather that you need to improve. “I have learnt a lot from all the teachers in the academy and the students alike,” she says.

“The stage and I have become an item, unlike before Project Fame. I don't see anything that can stop me from doing many good music albums and become one of the biggest performers if I get eliminated from the academy this weekend. I have it all," said Tina.

Although she misses her family, Nakaaya feels she has developed a hard enough skin, to help her face the toughest challenges in the music industry.

The Vodacom Tusker Project Fame free live show is aired on Channel 10 every Sunday at the Slipway for the general public.

Vodacom Tusker Project Fame is a blend of Big Brother and Pop Idol, which is jointly sponsored by Tanzania 's leading cellular network Vodacom Tanzania and East Africa 's leading beer brand Tusker and is produced by Endemol East Africa.

The judges are looking for one East African representative who will walk away with a brand new Mercedes Benz worth 60/- million and a recording contract from Galo/Johnic records of South Africa .
