Tanzania Film Federation to instill discipline to its subjects

Tanzania Film Federation (TAFF) through its top management brass has issued a statement that it’s soon going all out to curb and contain bad image created, not only by its feminine side in the industry, but, also by screening most the work that comes out including profane and public indecency dressing.

According to Federation chairman Simon Mwakifamba the Film Federation has come up with the decision due to an ever growing public outcry, which has been attributed by frequent negative publications by the section of the media of late.

The chairman expressed his dismay over what he termed as negative reputation that is deliberately portrayed mostly by their female counterparts whom he said have been doing a lot of reckless deeds on social and non social occasions.

“We are fed up with the way some of us behave,” he said.

“As noble citizens we are mandated to be the role models and if we allow ourselves to be overridden by our fame and do the opposite, the general public will lose trust on us, hence lose our usefulness to the society.”

“I can pretty much tell you that we are so much disturbed by the turn of events, especially from our sisters. They have been out of order for quite sometimes and we have been lenient, but for now, as a federation which is responsible to its subjects, we are going to solve this situation by curbing this delinquent behaviors ourselves starting with the movie content to public decency and order.”
