John Legend won’t show up for Coke Studio Africa in Kenya as expected
The American singer John Roger Stephens, better known by his stage name John Legend, was expected to grace the new season of Coke Studio Africa which is taking place in Nairobi, Kenya.
Unfortunately, it has been revealed that Legend won’t be able to make it for the Coke Studio Africa season 3 finale, due to his tight schedule.
“John is very willing to come but his schedule is too tight. The management is now in talks with two other high profile artistes and we hope to commit them very soon,” said SDE sources at Coke Studio.
Last year’s second season finale was graced by Haiti’s Wyclef Jean, who made a stunning performance alongside other African acts.
This year Coke Studio Africa has once again drawn the hottest music talent from Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Nigeria and Uganda.
Coke Studio Africa show brings together artists from different genres, eras and regions to create a modern and authentic sound through musical fusion.
