Utafiti: Makampuni yenye mabosi wakali hufanya vibaya zaidi

Lakini utamaduni wa hofu kwenye maeneo ya kazi hupunguza utendaji kazi, utafiti umebaini.

Wafanyakazi wanaofanya kazi kwenye ofisi yenye msimamo mkali hujikuta wakipoteza muda kushughulika na mahitaji na urasimu – ikimaanisha kuwa hawawezi kuzingatia kazi za msingi.

Utafiti uliofanywa na Chartered Management Institute ulilinganisha makampuni yenye utemi uliozeleka na yale yanayomilikiwa na wafanyakazi wake. Ulibaini kuwa waajiriwa waliokuwa na share za umiliki wa kampuni yao walioneakana kutumia zaidi misingi ya usawa, uaminifu, ukarimu na ujasiri kazini.

Na wafanyakazi tisa kati ya kumi walisema uongozi wao ulikuwa wa kidemokrasia na wenye maono zaidi ukilinganisha na nusu ya wale waliopo kwenye makampuni yanayotumia ubabe zaidi.

Wafanyakazi kwenye makampuni yenye msimamo mkali walikuwa na uwezekano wa mara nne zaidi kuwaelezea mamaneja wao kama wanaolazimisha, wanaotawala na makatili.

Utafiti huo ulisema: When people at work operate in a culture of fear and bureaucracy, customer focus and entrepreneurship suffer. This translates into lower revenues and profits and higher costs. When employees own their organisations, the culture is more human, less fearful and less bureaucratic.’
